Our History:
In 1976, Dr. Subhash Sahai, M.D. started a solo practice in Webster City. He was joined by his wife, Dr. Sushma Sahai, M.D. a year later. In 1979, they built a small but efficient office on Collins Street on the edge of town. As their practice grew, so did their staff as well as the need for additional services and space.

In July 1982, Dr. Anil Sahai, D.O. PhD., F.A.C.P.  Dr. Subhash’s brother, joined the couple in practice by adding his skill as an internist. Realizing the access and transportation issues that would evolve with the aging population, they began plans for a substantial building addition that would add 10,000 square feet of space and a number of services not readily available in Webster City. In 1984, the new Webster City Medical Clinic opened 15 new exam rooms, a minor surgery suite, a GI endoscope room, an x-ray department, as well as expanded lab, podiatry services and physician offices. Webster City Medical Clinic was also the first clinic based cardiac rehabilitation center in Iowa.

In 1990, the doctors recognized the need for closer to home cancer therapy and opened what is now known as the Bliss Cancer Center. Further changes in medicine, technology and diagnostic demand provided the impetus to add abdominal, pelvic and obstetrical ultrasound, echocardiography, cardiac Doppler, bone densitometer for the evaluation of osteoporosis and more recently, massage therapy, and Magnetic resonance imaging unit.

With the changing health care climate of recent years and the need for again, more space, Webster City Medical Clinic joint ventured with TriMark Physicians Group, a division of Trinity Health System, to expand the clinic building yet allow for the continuance of our independent practice. In 2002, our building grew to 26,750 square feet accommodating two separate practices, Webster City Medical Clinic (Drs. Sahai) and the TriMark Physicians Group. We anticipate further growth and have started planning for even more medical services to meet the needs of our patients.

Our Diversification of services, board certified physicians and highly credentialed staff, all offered under one roof, has been the cornerstone of our practice. We look forward to continuing to serve the residents of Webster City and surrounding communities for many years to come.
